I'm a human in my 40s living in central Canada with my partner and our little black cat.
I've been pretty obsessed with making things for my entire life. Christmas and birthday gifts always consisted of art supplies or DIY kits of some sort. I come from a family of hobbyists - my dad was an accomplished hobby chef and had an entire workshop dedicated to Meccano (even entering national building competitions), while my mom was very skilled at sewing, knitting, baking, home decor & more.
I've been drawing ever since I was very little, with other hobbies such as yarncrafts & mini-painting coming along later. An unexhaustive list of my current hobbies & interests can be found in the sidebar on the left. There were times in my life when I tried to narrow down & focus on specific interests, but as I've gotten older I've realized there's no point in refusing myself the joy of doing whatever it is I feel like doing. I'm lucky to be able to pursue all these hobbies, and life is short.
I'm someone who loves to be outdoors in all seasons, loves animals, loves food & loves new experiences.
Oh... and if it wasn't obvious, I'm also very interested in paleontology, especially that of the Mesozoic era! I never grew out of my love for dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures, to the point that it's a well-worn gag amongst friends, colleagues and others who know me well.
