I'm a human in my 40s living in central Canada with my partner and our little black cat.
I'm a voracious hobbyist with an unquenchable desire to make all sorts of things in all sorts of different disciplines.
I've been pretty obsessed with making things for my entire life. Christmas and birthday gifts always consisted of art supplies or DIY kits of some sort. I come from a family of hobbyists - my dad was super into Meccano (even entering national building competitions) & an accomplished hobby chef, while my mom was very skilled at sewing, knitting, baking, home decor & more.
I've been drawing ever since I was very little, with other hobbies such as yarncrafts & mini-painting coming along later. An unexhaustive list of my current hobbies & interests can be found in the sidebar on the left. There were a few times in my life when I tried to narrow down, specialize & focus my interests, but as I've gotten older I've realized there's no point in refusing mysalf the joy of doing whatever I want to do.
Aside from pursuing all of my hobby interests, I'm someone who loves to be outdoors in all seasons, loves animals, loves food & loves new experiences.
If it wasn't obvious, I'm also very interested in paleontology, especially that of the Mesozoic era! I never grew out of my love for dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures, to the point that it's a well-worn gag amongst friends, colleagues and others who know me well.
